A Dream Come True!

This Halloween was a Dream Come True for me!! I have been wanting to dress the children as the "Four Seasons" for ages! Some good friends in FL dressed as the Four Seasons years ago, and I've been gradually grooming the children to accept the idea, and finally this year it worked! I also thought it would be so fun if I dressed as Mother Nature and Brian (the hum-bug) was Father Time! However, only part of that dream was realized...Brian said he would wear a watch and that was it!!! Oh well, we still had a great time coming up with the costumes!!

Our sunny, energetic Summer!! She was so excited to go Trick-or-Treating this year, and she outlasted all the other children :)

Our lovely Spring! This outfit was an old ballet costume that we revised! The rain boots were a last minute choice (I didn't think about shoes), but they are "Springy"...right? April showers? ;)

Winter (a.k.a. Jack Frost) turned out great!! The snowflakes on his shoulders are battery-operated lights that we poked through the fabric of the jacket. BTW, we found the suit at a second hand store for under $5 total, so I didn't feel bad about painting it and poking holes in it :)

The beautiful season of Fall...

Group photos with a close-up of my Mother Nature Crown, which is a little over the top, but it's how I envisioned it looking (when Brian first saw it, he called me a "Dork!")

I LOVE your themed Halloween! Someday, I'll be copying the seasons in smoe form or another...maybe planets or something that has 6 or 8 aspects.

Looks just wonderful. Wish we could have seen it. Where is the close-up of your costume? From a distance it looks great too! Never mind Brian. . .

Zack's pictures remind me of his Uncle Damon. I posted pictures of him. I don't mean Zack reminds me of Damon in costume, just of Damon in general.

Oh I love you for doing this. What a neat idea and of course it would come from you. The other idea I saw was a family in Nintendo characters. The costumes were homemade and wonderful! I am going to call you this week!

Those turned out awesome Emily!!! Brian was just a party pooper and you didn't look like a dork at all. :)

Thanks to all!

Mom, I wish we could have come over on Saturday...our day was packed from 7:00 am until bedtime! I agree about Zachary reminding me of Damon...in fact when I was posting the pictures, Megan said that very thing too! BTW, Damon's costumes were awesome this year!!!

BTW, all the full length pictures of me turned out terrible!!! Brian kept trying to take a picture of me from the ground up, so I look HUGE, and you can't see my skirt in any of them anyway! The skirt was divided into 4 parts and each section represented a season just like the crown was divided into the seasons as well :) It did turn out pretty good!

Perfect idea, esp with 4 kids. Brian is a hum bug!

You are so great! I remember last year you were excited they dressed up in 50's theme :) You did a great job on their costumes! Zachary looks especially sharp! And Megan is as tall as you! I just can't believe it!

Chris says, "So that's what mother nature looks like!"

I want to do a family themed costume Halloween next year... we'll see...I'd have to get Chris to agree.
